His Smile....

Jackson has become so much more interactive and fun! It's so rewarding that he now recognizes me, Rob and the boys AND that we make him happy. He is growing so fast and changing day by day. I just can't even wait to hear his laugh....he is such a happy boy!

Here are some of my favorites caught by me...

These Boys are my Joys!

There's something oh so special about seeing the face of my youngest peering out over the shoulder of my oldest.

& Carter is just plain smitten with his new baby brother!

Baseball's in Session

Baseball has started and on the very last day of possible registration, Spencer decided he wanted to play. So luckily, Rob jumped on the phone and made it happen. It's been 2 years since Spencer's had any interest, so we are very excited about it. I know we shouldn't push our kids to do what we love, but it's so hard for Rob and I. Especially cuz the kid's got talent, but just needs a little more love of the game.
Spencer is on a Single A team with a lot of his friends and classmates. He's having fun, learning a lot, and is getting better and better. We love that he bats left handed, but is a total righty, and has such a smooth stroke. His defense is quite good as well, and can I just say am very proud that he majoritively plays short-stop! I've only made it to 1 game, well only part of it really with just having Jackson, but he looks great out there and is doing well.
He proudly wears the # of his favorite baseball player, Albert Pujols of the Cardinals, and I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Spencer sticks with it.

Ahhh, the dream lives on......

Jackson Porter Mackley

Okay, so after a long week of waiting for the hospital to call so I could be induced, they called finally Thursday night at 11pm. Rob thought I was kidding, but quickly realized it was time, because I started making preparations and checking my bag to see if I had everything. After we got there they started me at about 12:30am. Jackson was born Friday afternoon @ 1:45pm. He weighed a whopping 9 pounds 9.5 ounces and was 22 inches long. He was my record breaker by far, but luckily I had no problems pushing him out. It was absolutely amazing to see him come into the world when just a few moments before that he was inside my tummy. I don't think the realization hit Rob nor I until after he was born. He is such a blessing and ever so precious. We are so grateful that he is healthy and doing so well. Thanks for all the phone calls, messages, and congrats....we can't wait for you all to meet him!

Easter

Well Easter started off a bit different. I had been waiting to get called in to the hospital to be induced and finally the hospital called at 7am Easter morning. Well I'd been waiting since Friday and with it being Easter and Rob's birthday I decided to stay home and enjoy the holiday. The nurse thought I was crazy, oh well. We had a good day. Easter baskets with lots of candy, colored some eggs, had a yummy dinner, and had my parents here to boot. It turned out to be a good day.
